MIC1551/53 IttyBitty® RC Timers/Oscillators

Microchip Technology MIC1551 and MIC1553 IttyBitty® RC 555-Type Timers / Oscillators are ultra-small, high-performance timing solutions designed for space-constrained applications. These devices replicate the functionality of the classic 555 timer using a resistor-capacitor (RC) timing method, offering precision timing in a compact SOT-23-5 package. The MIC1551 can be used as an astable (oscillator) or monostable (one-shot) with separate threshold and trigger inputs. The MIC1553 supports astable (oscillator) operation only, with a chip select/reset (CS) input for low-power shutdown. With a wide 2.7V to 5.5V operating voltage range, low supply current, and fast output response, these Microchip timers / oscillators are well-suited for portable, battery-powered, and timing-critical designs in consumer electronics, industrial control, and instrumentation.
